Thor is a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado monster truck owned by Lars Larsson of Viking Monster Trucks out of Sweden. It is currently driven by Peter Nyman, and originally Anders Flogard. Since its debut in 2007, the truck has competed in various Monster Jam events held exclusively in Europe and has also run various identities for the said league, most notably Earth Shaker.
History[]
Thor was originally created in 2007, after Lars Larsson acquired the previous Blown Thunder chassis from Trevor Stimson. The truck made its official debut on May 18, 2007 at the Lidköping City Pull event in Lidköping, Sweden with Anders Flogård driving. It competed primarily in both Monsterrace and Monster Jam events held across Europe. Meanwhile, Flogård would eventually retire from driving, and Peter Nyman took over the driving duties. Patrik Tenbrock drives the truck in Gothenburg, Sweden. In 2018, Thor competed in that year's Monster Jam European tour as Earth Shaker. During the tour, Nyman would win his first-ever major racing championship in Cardiff, as well as a major freestyle championship in Chorzow. Thor would again run as Earth Shaker the following year in various events in Europe which were featured in that year's International tour. It would also display various other Monster Jam identities, including Monster Energy, El Toro Loco and Megalodon. In 2022, the truck ran as Earth Shaker in London, Tampere, Finland & Arnhem.
