Rambo (also known as Bill Weaver's Rambo) was a 1999 Chevrolet monster truck owned and driven by Bill Weaver Jr. out of Hastings, New York. Mike Nitzke also drove the truck. It was best known for winning 3 Thunder Nationals championships (1 with Weaver and 2 with Nitzke).

History[]

The first truck was actually just a lifted show truck. It would evolve to 48-inch terra tires. When the second truck was built, the first was given the Jr. moniker.

The second truck was a leaf spring race truck. It started as a short wheelbase truck but was later lengthened for stability for racing. When the third truck was built, it was retired and remained untouched until recently.

The third truck was a tube frame racing truck. This truck would only run a few years.

In 1991, Weaver and the truck would win their first Thunder Nationals championship, and the only for Weaver as a driver.

In 2000 and 2001, the truck would win both Thunder Nationals championships with Nitzke driving.

In 2004, the truck was sold to Charles Benns, which he converted it to Pitbull, which would become the first Prime Time (Murphy) chassis, and then would be converted into the MAGA Monster truck, owned by Steve Quercio, which then would be retired and sold to Korea and would become Monster X, which still runs to this day.

In 2005, the truck received a diecast release by Mattel.
