Red Solo Truck was a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty, formerly a Chevrolet monster truck owned by the Monster X Tour. It was driven by Perry Como. The truck was originally created by Equalizer Racing in 2013 as the initial successor to their previous truck, Hot Tamale. During that time, it would be driven by various drivers, with its most notable being Brandon Budd and Joe & Richie Yatsko. Following Monster X Tour's acquisition of the team in 2019, Como took over the driving duties, driving the truck until it was sold the following year.

History[]

Red Solo Truck debuted in 2013 as the initial successor to Hot Tamale. At the time of its debut, the truck featured a Chevrolet Silverado body style. It would be driven by several drivers, with its most notable being Brandon Budd, Troy Rose, and Joe Yatsko.

In 2016, Red Solo Truck received an updated body style, being a 2008 Ford F-250 Super Duty. That same year, the truck began serving as the alter-ego to Hot Tamale, following the name's return to competition. During that year's Monsters On the Beach event in September, Red Solo Truck would be involved in one of the most violent monster truck crashes in history, colliding with Vinny Venom in Snake Bite during the final leg of their race in the Semi-Final round of Racing. Both trucks suffered extensive damage as a result of the crash, with Snake Bite being damaged to the point where it could no longer compete for the remainder of the weekend. As for Red Solo Truck, it was able to be repaired in time to compete in the Championship Round against Bigfoot.

In 2017, Budd left the team to create his own truck, Buckshot. He would later be succeeded by Yatsko's son, Richie. Both drivers continued to drive the truck until 2019 when Equalizer Racing was acquired by the Monster X Tour. Following the acquisition, Perry Como took over the driving duties for the remainder of the season. The chassis would also be used to run as Wrecking Machine for one show, before being sold by the league the following year. It, along with teammate truck Equalizer, would be purchased by Rod Schmidt in 2021, with the former being converted into Redneck Rampage. In 2022, Mike Harper buys the name.
