Outlaw is a 1995 Ford F-150 monster truck owned by Harper Motorsports. It is a throwback to Nick Rossi's Jersey Outlaw truck from the 1980's in its name and likeness. The truck runs on various chassis with its most popular being Harper’s Willman/Meents inspired front-engine, left-side drive chassis.

History[]

The truck would debut in 2011.

In 2014, the truck briefly ran as The Commander.

In 2020, a new chassis was built after the original one was badly damaged at the Corpus Christi, Texas Monster Truck Wars show in 2019. A second Outlaw driven by Jared Eichelberger also debuted on the former The Patriot chassis, after Harper bought both of Dan Rodoni's trucks. The original chassis was later repaired and runs as El Oso Loco.

In 2022, Mike Wine drove the truck for the TNT Motorsports: Unfinished Business event. Alex Bardin starts driving a PEI version of the truck.

In 2023, the former Buckshot chassis would be turned into Outlaw for Monster Truck Wars with Brandon Budd secretly behind the wheel. He went by various aliases while driving such as "Michael Harper". The reason for the usage of aliases was in order to prevent controversy due to his arrest for pedophilic related charges. Budd continued to drive the truck until his sentencing.

Marion 2024 accident[]

On February 24th, 2024, the truck would accidentally run over Paul Breaud at a Monster Truck Wars show in Marion, Ohio while reversing. Breaud would be airlifted to the hospital. His condition is currently listed as stable.

Trivia[]

  • The truck’s primary chassis is often confused for a Meents or a Willman chassis due to it looking similar in design, however, the truck is an in-house built by Harper with the top half being inspired by a Meents chassis, while the bottom half being inspired by a Willman chassis.
  • The chassis also ran as Bounty Hunter.
