Heavy Medal is a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado monster truck owned by Bobby Holman of Team Beast Racing out of Dayton, Ohio. It is driven by his son, Josh Holman.

History[]

Heavy Medal originally debuted in 2014, with Joe Nichter behind the wheel. At the time of its debut, the truck was originally sponsored by Medallion Refinish Systems. Later that year, the chassis would temporarily compete as a secondary Rock Star as part of an agreement with Straight Up Racing. Meanwhile, Heavy Medal would also compete on Nichter’s Stomper chassis for select shows. Josh Holman would begin driving the truck sometime later. He would eventually become the full-time driver.

Sometime during the 2017 season, Heavy Medal would temporarily be leased to Dave Rife. For that occasion, the chassis would be used to campaign the new Safecraft Xtinguisher, while the body was used on the Tarantula chassis, which Rife had purchased the year prior.

In 2020, a brand-new chassis was constructed for Heavy Medal that was first used to compete as Bone Shaker for the 2020 Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live European Tour. Later in the season, a brand-new design debuted, featuring a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado body style, which is still used to this day.
