Shocker is a Chevrolet Colorado monster truck driven by Pat Gerber out of Bakersfield, California. Pat is best known for his wild schemes and wild personality and has been a West Coast staple since 1994. The truck has undergone a few paint jobs, with the most notable probably being the 3D lightning design.

History[]

It was originally Terry Woodcock’s "Wizard", and was sold to Pat. Before "Wizard", the truck was D.A.R.E.. The truck debuted in Salinas on May 29th, 1994. Shocker was run with Freedom Racing for one year, before they finally let Pat move onto his own team, once he was practiced enough.

Pat retired the original chassis in 1999 and would debut another Freedom Racing chassis the following year. The truck also debuted its iconic 3D lightning scheme that year.

In 2006, the truck debuted a new short lived matte black scheme. Later that year, the truck debuts a new black 4Shocker.com scheme.

In 2008, the truck debuts a new camo scheme with teeth that you see on a WWll fighter plane.

In 2011, the truck debuts a new blue and yellow scheme. The truck’s rollover in Oakland 2013 would cause the truck to receive a new body.

In 2014, the truck debuts a new blue and white MavTV scheme.

In 2015, the truck debuts a MavTV red lightning scheme which it currently uses to this day.

The truck would make a surprise appearance at a Santa Maria event in 2022.

The truck made its return on March 15th and 16th, 2024, at Monster Truck Rally Live!, an event that was hosted by Pat and Terry Woodcock. Pat has also hinted at a new Freedom Racing chassis being built for Shocker and has also hinted at bringing back the 3D lightning scheme.
