Iron Horse is a 2019 Ford F-250 monster truck owned by Chris Keyes of Keyes Motorsports out of Terra Haute, Indiana. The truck was originally owned and driven by Rob French until his retirement in 2022.

History[]

Iron Horse was originally created in 2004 and began competition later that year with Rob French behind the wheel. At the time of its debut, the truck originally utilized a Dodge Ram body style. French would operate the truck until its initial retirement in 2008.

In 2012, Iron Horse returned to competition with an all-new Chevrolet Corvette body style, as well as a new chassis. During that year, the truck made a one-time appearance in Monster Jam in Atlanta along with then-teammate Wildfire.

In 2013, the chassis was repainted blue and converted into Grave Robber, which eventually became Twisted Dragon the following year.

In 2020, Iron Horse would again return to competition, this time receiving a new 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty body style and was run on the former Scorpion chassis.

In 2022, Caleb Keyes now drives the truck. The truck is now bought by Chris Keyes under Keyes Motorsports (unofficial name). The truck also gets a new teammate, Catty Wampus, under Chris himself, while Caleb gets driving duties mainly in Iron Horse.

Trivia[]

  • Iron Horse may have originally intended to be named American Iron Horse, as an archive of the Wildfire Motorsports website has the truck labeled as said name.
