Eldon DePew is a former driver out of Granite City, Illinois. He is the nephew of Jack Willman Sr. and in turn the cousin of Jack Willman Jr. and his driving career started in his uncle's truck Taurus. He was the primary Taurus driver on USHRA's Monster Wars series from 1993-4, usually in Taurus 5. He would win racing at the 1994 World Finals in Pontiac and win the points series for the West Division. Tom Meents has cited Eldon DePew as one of his earliest influences and peers in the world of monster trucks.

In 1996, he drove Grave Digger as a fill-in when Dennis Anderson could not get to a show at the Houston Astrodome. He would retire from monster trucks the following year.

In 2001, he came out of retirement to drive Tom Meents' second Goldberg truck for the year. In March, he drove Bulldozer at the Pontiac Silverdome and at Monster Jam World Finals 2, the former of which being where he had one of the most violent crashes of the year. In 2002, he drove the second Team Meents for the smaller and untelevised events and then Hot Wheels at Monster Jam World Finals 3, after which he would fully retire from driving.

Presently, Eldon works as a gunsmith at Nighthawk Customs and is a professional shooter.
