Brutus is a custom dog monster truck from Team Scream. The truck is most famous for being driven by Chris Bergeron from 2001-2013.
History
- 2001 - Brutus debuts as a Chevrolet S-10. Rather than a dog, the original theme was of the Roman Assassin, Marcus Junius Brutus.
- 2004 - The custom 3D dog body debuts.
- 2005 - Brutus competes in its first World Finals.
- 2007 - Brutus is featured in Monster Jam.
- 2008 - Brutus' teammate Spike is featured in Monster Jam: Urban Assault.
- 2008 - A new chassis debuts under Brutus.
- 2011 - A brand new paint scheme debuts at the World Finals.
- 2013 - Chris Bergeron retires.
- 2014 - Brad Allen drives the name part time.
- 2016 - Brutus return to Monster Jam with Brad Allen driving in the Fox sports 1 Series. It also won the Donut Competition at Anaheim
- 2017 - The truck competed in the FS1 East Series.
Trivia
The original theme of the truck was of the Roman assassin, Brutus. The truck featured the Roman on the hood, clutching two knives. After several fans made comments about their dogs also being named brutus, the truck's theme was comically to match this.
