Bigfoot 7 is a Ford monster truck built by Bigfoot 4X4 originally in 1988 and then re-built in 1995.

History[]

Bigfoot 7 was originally built specifically for the 1989 film Roadhouse. The scene starring Bigfoot 7 depicts the truck demolishing a car dealership, including four station wagons. This scene was shot in a single take and cost $500,000 to shoot. When built, the truck had standard 66-inch tires, as seen during its Roadhouse appearance. The truck was also featured in the movie, Tango and Cash which was also released in 1989, with Bob Chandler himself driving.

In 1991, the truck drove in Australia.

From 1992-1993, the truck competed in New Zealand.

Rebuild[]

In 1995, it was modified to use 10-foot tires like Bigfoot 5. The truck was stripped of its engine, transmission, and other mechanicals. It was then sold and became a display piece outside the Race Rock Cafe theme restaurant in Orlando, where it remained until the restaurant closed down. It was then bought by Fun Spot USA in Kissimmee, Florida, where it currently resides. For trademark reasons, the truck was converted to BigFun after the Fun Spot USA owner refused an offer from Bob Chandler to buy the truck back.

Today, the truck sits in rough condition and the owner refuses to do anything with it and won't accept any offers to buy the truck.

Trivia[]

  • The truck was the final leaf spring built truck from Bigfoot 4X4.
