Allen Pezo (born June 13th, 1968) is a monster truck owner and driver out of Brentwood, Tennessee. He is the owner and driver of Predator and its eponymous racing team which includes Prowler, Pouncer, and Lone Eagle. He is also the Vice President of the International Monster Truck Hall of Fame's Board of Directors. As of the last several years, Pezo has not competed in any stadiums & has become a bit burned out from traveling but is still a fan favorite across the country and has even hired several old school drivers (Robert Parker, Wayne Smozanek and Ron Nelson) on to his team. His brother Dave Pezo also drove for him.

Career[]

Pezo first got started before he was even 18, driving a truck called Lone Eagle.

Around 1988, Pezo overhauled Lone Eagle's chassis and it became the first Predator. He then built White Knight, which would tour with Predator doing a Ford vs Chevrolet theme. He would build another Predator and two tanks.

In 1993, Pezo created the now popular black cat Predator design, which gained a lot of exposure on the Monster Wars tour until the early 2000's Monster Jam tours. Allen would also have a truck called Hyperactive, which would make sporadic appearances, mostly as a filler truck from 1993-1996.

In 1997, Pezo drove Avenger, until he let Jim Koehler keep his Avenger name and renamed his Avenger to Carnivore.

In 1998, Pezo drove Warlock. He also owned Radioactive.

In 2000, Allen and his brother Dave were invited to the inaugural Monster Jam World Finals.

In 2007, Pezo drove Prowler in Atlanta due to a new Predator chassis not being completed yet.

In 2012, Pezo got a surprising racing win over Ryan Anderson in Son-uva Digger in Phoenix.

In 2013, Pezo was inducted into the International Monster Truck Hall of Fame.

2017 would be the last year his team ran in Monster Jam.

In 2022, Pezo drove both Predator and Pouncer at the 4-Wheel Jamboree in Indianapolis. Allen is one of a handful of drivers to do double duty at a show. One was Brian Barthel at Houston in 2001. Brian drove Little Tiger & Wolverine. The others are Daron Basl & Rick Raab.

In 2023, Pezo drove Reptoid for Monster Truck Wars in Virginia and Cedar Rapids. In August, he was involved in a highway accident in Virginia with both of his trucks and hauler when it tipped over after going into a ditch, attempting to avoid hitting a car while going uphill. Nobody was injured. His son Brandon made is driving debut in Prowler in Walton, Kentucky. Allen is building a new state of the art chassis for Predator.
